About The Awards

Air ambulances operate 365 days a year across the UK, helping around 70 patients every single day. Their operations are funded by charitable donations. The experienced personnel who task the air ambulance, the skilled pilots, the highly trained clinicians and the committed fundraising teams go out of their way to aid those most in need of care. The Air Ambulance Awards of Excellence is a rare opportunity to recognise these people and hear their remarkable stories. Open to any individual/team within the air ambulance community in the UK, the awards recognise exceptional people helping to save and improve lives.
Award Nominations for the 2019 Awards of Excellence are now closed.
The award criteria have been designed to ensure the best possible basis for evaluation and comparison in making the final awards. To ensure all relevant information is available, nominees may be contacted for clarification or more detailed material to assist in the judging process.

Deadline for Entries
The final date for submission is 2nd September 2019. No entries received after this date will be considered.
Each award nomination will be assessed by an independent judging panel against the stated criteria; their decisions are final. The Awards will be judged independently, objectively and wholly impartially.
All nominations will be acknowledged by email. The finalists in each category will be informed by the Independent Secretary to the Judges and they will be invited to attend the Gala Dinner to hear the announcement of the winners. Winners will receive a prestigious, personally engraved trophy.

The 2019 awards will take place on Monday 18th November at the Millennium Chelsea Harbour Hotel, London.

The Conference and Awards are now held at a prestigious new venue: the Millennium Chelsea Harbour Hotel, London.
Millennium Chelsea Harbour Hotel is located a short walk from Imperial Wharf Overground Station at Chelsea Harbour Dr, Fulham, London SW10 0XG and has on-site parking. It is outside the Congestion Zone

Early Bird Prize Draw – Two Night Trip to New York for Two People
This year, anyone who takes advantage of the early bird rate and secures their place/s on or before September 30th 2019, will be entered into a prize draw and have the chance to win ‘Return economy class flights for two from London to New York and two nights’ accommodation at a Millennium Group hotel in New York’.
This was awarded to the AAA from the Millennium Gloucester Hotel via Becky Steele.
